MineralCalc is a static website with no user accounts and no login. We collect personal information in only one situation:
If you join the waitlist, we store a single flag in your browser's local storage so the site remembers not to show you the signup form again. This flag contains no personal information and never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
To operate the site, we rely on a few third parties, each governed by its own privacy policy:
A waitlist email address is used only to contact you about the Lease Analyzer feature, including launch notice and early-access details. We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address. You may ask us to delete it at any time by emailing alexogerardi@gmail.com.
The Lease Analyzer is a planned future feature that would let you upload a lease document for analysis. It is not live today and does not currently collect or process any documents. When it launches, it will be covered by its own data-handling notice describing how uploaded files are processed and retained, presented to you before you use it.
MineralCalc is intended for adults making decisions about mineral and royalty interests. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
We may update this policy as the site evolves — particularly when the Lease Analyzer launches. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
Royalty income depends on many real-world variables this tool cannot fully capture — actual well performance and decline behavior, volatile commodity prices, specific lease language (including post-production deduction and shut-in clauses), title and ownership complexity, regulatory action, and operator decisions. Results may differ materially from actual outcomes. Severance tax rates, market benchmarks, and other reference figures are provided for convenience and may not reflect current law or conditions; verify them with the relevant authority.
The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations are accurate or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MineralCalc and its creator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages — including lost income, lost profits, or lost opportunities — arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its outputs. You use the tool and act on its results at your own risk.
You agree not to misuse the site, including attempting to disrupt its operation, scrape it at abusive volumes, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
